If you're motivated you could add a modest serene grace set. I've actually had a few people use it against me and the surprise factor made it pretty effective. With Serene Grace, Charge Beam + Ice Beam can be devastating.

This.

I'm in favour of a Serene Grace set.

I'm not that willing to go for Happiny in both sets, but, yes, I'd do one, Blue. Other than that, any more opinions about EMs?

I'm against going for Happiny because it doesn't learn anything useful that Chansey doesn't and it's a pain to evolve.

Happiny doesnt get Seismic Toss which is a big deal. Perhaps another day on the rebreeds as right now the only reason to breed one is to have one and its not like we arent missing any other Baby Pokes as the 2 we dont have are Happiny(ofc) and Mime Jr.

That said I dont think anyone would mind if you just sticked to Chansey.

So, what is the draw of modest over bold for a setup set? You're gonna need bulk to take any hits, and the percentage increase to Chansey's defense is pretty large from defensive investment. Unless the plan is full defense and special attack, then it's ok.

There's no setup here, the plan is just to go with 3 special moves and softboiled or something like that. And for that to actually be able to deal a decent amount of damage it needs modest

Oh, I thought the plan was charge beam. But if that's not necessarily the crux, that's cool.

Actually, gravity could be good on the offensive one. It could set gravity reliably, and also be able to use the higher powered Thunder, Blizzard, Fire Blast, and even Focus Blast with 100 percent accuracy. And don't forget, Thunder and Fire Blast work superbly with serene grace.

Oh wow Gravity makes all those moves 100% accurate??

Time to build a gimmicky doubles team.

(Gravity goes on the modest set instead of Metronome.)

Sort of, yeah. Gravity actually reduces all Pokémons evasion by two stages (I'm pretty sure) making moves of 60 percent accuracy or less hit all of the time. It also makes flyers hit the ground to get hit by hazards and ground moves (they don't lose the type, just become vulnerable). I used a sticky Web team with gravity landorus and Heracross once, it was really cool when it worked.

I couldn't resist going for it but decided to try my luck at Happiny. Other than Munchlax which zoid has covered we only need Mime Jr./Azurill(hey thats a normal type!)/Happiny left to get all the baby Pokes. Want to cross one off that list and save the other 2 for the future.

Going for:

Calm Happiny(F) 31/x/31/31/31/31 (+Aromatherapy, Counter, Metronome, Mud Bomb) -Love Ball-

Bred the parents I needed already so now just waiting for that lucky nature + IV RNG.

Calm is for Ubers since its the best nature for there and also the tier where Seismic Toss isnt needed as much which makes up for it not being able to learn it.

Got 3 5IV Timid (Mime Jr. is crying somewhere)
1 5IV Modest
and 1 -SpA Shiny

but finally got 5IV Calm, thankfully this was much faster than the week I bred for Mantyke.

If someone can edit the title to Happiny & Chansey and add my Happiny to the post would be appreciated. Hoping it doesnt undermine Rafa's work but just really wanted to have Happiny in this. I originally didnt care till I thought I had RNG for the next egg but 100% females do not have the same RNG but since I put all the effort into getting the Chansey parent I decided to just go for Happiny the normal way.

Also if anyone wants the Modest/Timid 5IVs just let me know and I'll give them for free. Could also use Modest for distribution if anyone likes the EMs better as don't know if Seismic Toss will be as useful. Wouldn't want to undermine Rafa's work but felt like it deserved a mention since I just happened to luckily get it.

Set 3 : Happiny
Ability: Serene Grace
Nature: Calm
Item: Oval Stone?
IV spread: 31/x/31/31/31/31
Hidden Power: Not Relevant
Egg Moves:
- Aromatherapy
- Counter
- Metronome
- Mud Bomb
